Another game

So hopefully you all have your copy of American Patchwork and quilting already. So now we can play another game! In about 2 weeks you will see another design by yours truly, for McCall's quilitng.

Here is a tear sheet that inspired the project in McCall's. This is the game...what in this picture do you think has inspired the project? Have fun and be creative.

Things are still buzzing about, working on ALL kinds of new stuff . I hate to say it you won't have to wait too long to see the new fall releases....not that we have actually had summer weather yet.

oh well, I hope you have fun with the guessing.

The cute trim around the lampshade!

I'm going to be very specific, and likely very off-base. Something about the chandelier, or the way the chandelier is reflecting in the mirror, or something along those lines. It's the first thing I noticed when I looked at the pic (and it's not because I'm a chandelier girl, because I am SO not :).

I think its those picture frames in the background with the dots in them - I'm sure they aren't really dots, they just look that way! Very graphic, and (I think!) quilt worthy!

I'm thinking it's the whole back wall in the dining room that is inspiring. The large and small rectangular shapes, the brown and white colours, and maybe even the dots for good measure. Definately some quilty inspirations coming from there!

the pictures and frames on the back wall of the dining room and their spacing. the scalloping of the lamps (and how they work with the frames on the back wall) the colours of the page. the big 'floufy' flowers would make an interesting pattern for quilting. (or at least i think i would make a quilt with something structured like the back wall, adding in the scalloping, and i love those colours together!)
