HAPPY BIRTHDAY CORI!!!

Well...today happens to be some body's birthday! I was searching through photo's and decided to use this one again...because it depicts our life. We are surrounded by quilts and kids, and this is where we love to be. (side note - this is not one of our baby's in the photo, but rather our youngest student in Indiana.)
And yesterday Cori and I decided to refer to our age in a new language. Today, Cori is a full yard. :) And when we turn 40, really we will just be 1 1/8 yds. And 45 won't be so bad, because 1 1/4 yds isn't very much. But we will NOT refer to our age in the metric system....otherwise, Cori just turned 100.
So please stop by, and leave Cori a Happy Birthday note, and she will pick one of you to share in her special day, by sending you a beautiful sampling of fabric.
See you soon.

P.S. Kudos to Diane from South Carolina! She remembered today was Cori's day before we ever mentioned it.

You know, I thought last year I'd remember this because Cori's bday is also my niece's, and Kris' best buddy. Oh well. ~sigh

Happy Full Yard Birthday from someone who's... well... I dunno. WAY less that a yard (and definitely NOT a fat quarter ;).

Happy Birthday Cori ! Enjoy the day, we need to have more days that are celebrations, if they be birthdays or just fun days, it doesn't matter, just days that are ours, so enjoy.

I had been referring to myself as a "speed limit" in terms of age but I like "a skosh more than a yard-and-a-half" much better!

BTW: LOVE the charm square mystery!!!

Happy Birthday to Cori who is celebrating a full yard! I just loved this post! I am going to remember to convert my age to this system--a lot more friendly than years.

Any system of counting the years that makes us sound younger than we are sounds good to me! Happy Birthday Cori! May the yards ahead be bright and beautiful.

Happy Birthday Cori!
I know I'm late, but if you figure it your way.... I'm only 1/3 of a yard late! LoL....
Oh, and I love you calculating! That makes me only 1 yard and 1/2 old! I can get to like this!
